How happy do I look? You never know how stressful a situation is until you're not in it anymore. This is the first Monday, I haven't had to worry about lesson plans or homework pages or parent newsletters since last September and I feel FREE! Why do I put myself in impossible situations and then wonder when I can't take it? I was convinced I was getting early onset Alheimer'sThings I loved were getting on my nerves: my dogs, books, family, friends- WHY? For a career!! I realized, I don't want/need a career anymore. I like working with kids, but not stressing the kids or myself out. When adults place unreasonable demands or expectations on kids we cause more problems for everyone. What ever happened to early childhood belonging to sesame street? When did three year olds need to learn how to read? Let's just hope I learned this time.
